PORT - Public Online ROSE Training

PORT is a compehensive solution for remote ATC simulation training, transforming any computer into a fully functional simulation center. This downloadable program enables users to select and configure ATC simulation exercises, launch a simulation session via the Internet and switch between different roles throughout an exercise. 

Remote Simulation and Training with PORT

PORT is available to anyone with Internet access, a Windows computer, a headset and a login code. The simulation software runs locally on a PC, allowing interaction with a radar training scenario and a voice communication interface remotely and without delay. PORT offers the possibility to upload exercise data, airspaces and interface configurations for use within a defined training group.

ROSE - Radar Operation Simulator & Editor

With ROSE, the coach is able to connect to the trainee’s screen and see the radar picture, regardless of screen size or resolution. Additionally, they can see the trainee’s mouse on their own screen and follow every single movement and input. The “laser-pointer-feature” allows the coach to highlight specific spots on the trainee’s radar. Additionally,  the debriefilator facilitates conducting a professional and thorough debriefing. 

IRIS - Independent Radio & Intercom System

The PORT version of IRIS provides multiple options for coaches, trainees and pilots to connect and collaborate in virtual conference rooms, enabling seamless remote briefings and debriefings. Additionally, private two-way communication can be established with a trainee or a pilot. During a simulation, the “monitor-the-trainee” feature can be activated to listen to all audio transmissions the trainee sends or receives.
